MinSalud regulation of biosafety protocols for cinemas and theaters

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection provided biosafety parameters for the prevention of Covid-19 transmission in movie theaters, theaters, drive-ins and auto-events through Resolution 1746 of 2020.

One of the main changes in the technical document, which repeals that of Resolution 1408 of 2020, is the provision of the chairs to keep the distance, ensuring that the spaces for each individual attendant or groups are clearly marked and delimited.

“Family groups or groups of people residing in the same home may use a maximum of four chairs or continuous spaces, keeping a distance of two meters with other groups of spectators and attendees,” said Claudia Cuéllar, director (e) of Promotion and Prevention.

For food and beverage services, face-to-face sales are authorized, in addition to virtual ones, preserving the physical distance of two meters between people. In addition, the food and beverages purchased by the attendees must be delivered packed, in such a way that they are not exposed to the environment while the attendees transit to their location.

Spectators should not eat food anywhere other than their seat or location, or while walking. It is the responsibility of the event operators to guarantee the above and that in the places where the scenic activity takes place, in which there are special bars for food consumption, the distance of two meters between consumers is met.
