The Ministry of Health confirmed 8,488 cases of covid-19 this Friday and raised the national count to 650,062 since the health emergency due to the coronavirus began. Of that number only 129,608 are active.
In addition, they reported 270 associated deaths, for a total of 20,888 deaths from the pandemic. The September 4 newsletter also details that 498,221 people have managed to overcome the disease.
In Valle del Cauca, 22 new deaths were reported, 17 of them in Cali. The other deaths occurred in Buga (2), Dagua, Tuluá and Candelaria. Now in the region there are 48,990 identified positives.
