Colombia exceeded 1.6 million cases of covid-19 this Monday, the Valley already has more than 134 thousand

This Monday’s newsletter from the Ministry of Health indicates that in the last day 9,310 new cases of covid-19 were identified in Colombia, so there are now 1,603,807 positives for coronavirus located in the national territory. Of that number, 88,095 are active patients.

203 new deaths associated with covid-19 were also confirmed, raising the total number of deaths to 42,374 since the health emergency began in the country. On the recovered they indicated that now there are 1’469,041.

In Valle del Cauca, 630 more cases were located and the number of people who became infected in the region is now 134,166. In addition, the Public Health portfolio reported 19 deaths related to the virus, of which fourteen correspond to Cali. The other deaths were reported by Palmira (4) and Buga.

Bogotá reported the highest number of infections this Monday with 2,300 new cases, followed by Tolima, with 768; and Antioquia, with 752.

The other positives correspond to Santander (656), Valle (630), Cundinamarca (619), Cartagena (445), Norte de Santander (403), Risaralda (387), Nariño (295), Meta (286), Boyacá (243 ), Caldas (228), Barranquilla (225), Quindío (197), Santa Marta (164), Huila (129), Cauca (91), La Guajira (71), Cesar (60), Chocó (57), Caquetá (55), Atlántico (46), Casanare (43), Sucre (34), Córdoba (28), Putumayo (27), Magdalena (25), Bolívar (21), Arauca (7), San Andrés (7), Guaviare (4), Vichada (4), Vaupés (2) and Amazonas (1).
