The serious case of aggression was known hours after the man attacked the 30-year-old woman, in her home in the El Redil neighborhood, in the town of Usaquén, in the north of Bogotá.
According to those close to the victim, she has at least 7 ax wounds to her head, face and body. The attack was in the presence of his 12-year-old son and he was the one who asked for help. That allowed the woman to survive, although she is very delicate.
While she fights for his life at the Cardio Infantil Foundation, the man is a fugitive from the authorities, since his family has already filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office for Ferro’s attempted femicide.
The assailant left the place where he attacked his partner, left her dying and threatened her son. However, thanks to the woman’s family, some information about him is known, such as that he had a collection of axes and that it was with the smallest of them that he wounded the young womansaid Jeisson Díaz, his brother, in El Tiempo.
The friends also shared several images, both of the couple and of him and some social media profiles, of what apparently is their business.
In this image, for example, he appears wearing one of them. The screenshot is of a network profile that has already been deleted and was made by one of the friends of the victim who reported the case.
However, there is another similar one that continues to be active and which is defined as a “specialized pet store”. In the promotional images you can see different breeds of dogs or cats next to bags of food.
The photos were taken, mostly in open spaces, on cut trees and with the axes driven into the remains of the trunk.
These 6 screenshots are an example of this:
They are apparently harmless images, and including the ax in the photographs makes sense if one takes into account that the two profiles include the word ‘lumberjack’, which in its Spanish translation it means woodcutter. In addition, the logo is the silhouette of a howling wolf, and inside it you can see an ax with the stick up, as if it were nailed.
Axes are nothing more than work tools for some people, but in this case one of them became a dangerous weapon of a man —Which Ferro’s family described in the middle as “jealous and possessive” – to attack his partner in the middle of an argument out of jealousy, according to the versions of those who know the couple, although none of it justifies it.
