The mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, was the victim of a homophobic attack in the center of the city.
The attack took place in the Hippies Park, where the capital’s president offered a press conference on the implementation of a bicycle route in Carrera Séptima.
“I rebuke her, in the name of Jesus Christ I rebuke you, you are teaching disrespectful things to man. If you want to become homosexual, do it yourself, but do not teach that to our children, we do not agree with your teachings, “shouted a subject, apparently a religious fanatic.
The attack occurs a few days after the complaints made against a professor at the District University, who made homophobic comments.
In context:
Some personalities, such as the president of the Bogotá Council, Carlos Fernando Galán, rejected the attack against Claudia López: “It is incredible that such an attack is happening in our city today. We have to continue working to completely eradicate hatred and discrimination in Bogotá ”.

“Incredible that at this point there are people who continue to live in the Middle Ages,” said Daniel Samper Ospina.
