The Blu Radio journalist questioned Claudia López about what would happen if this initiative became a scenario of congestion and risk of contagion like the one that is experienced in San Victorino and other sectors of the city these days.
“Mayor, what will happen to the issue of crowds in this 24-hour day? Obviously they are made so that people do not crowd, so that there is more distribution, but who guarantees that there will not be crowds “, asked the communicator.
Followed by, the Blu journalist explained to Claudia López that the question arises because this week she herself said that if there was an agglomeration in San Victorino, the popular Madrugón would be immediately suspended. “Can that happen here with 24 hours, if you see crowds, you decide to suspend the issue?” The reporter insisted.
Given this, the mayor replied not to add salt to the strategy.
“But my brother, we haven’t started and he’s already giving us a bad feeling (…) there is this painted man. No, let’s give it a good vibe, we have a thousand organizations, citizens have self-care, people have masks, we have our coexistence managers, ”said López.
In addition, he said that there will be more than 200 police officers monitoring that the area in which Bogotá will operate 24 hours complies with the established protocols.
“In the case of San Victorino, he has been making an enormous effort for 3 months and he had been doing it well. The Christmas season has arrived and the number of customers increases, that’s great, that’s what we want (…) but part of the problem of Madrugón is that it is everyone at the same time in few areas, ”added López.
This is the video with the mayor’s response:
