The mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, is being criticized by councilors and citizens who reject that she has participated in a massive Christmas launch event in which she was surrounded by hundreds of people.

The events occurred in Ciudad Bolívar, and several photographs published on social networks reflect the agglomerations that were experienced. Mainly disturbing is a photograph in which López is seen, crouched and surrounded by children, talking with those around her. Very close to her, a minor is observed who is not wearing his mask.
In social networks they did not skimp on criticizing this fact, since according to the president herself, crowds must be avoided at all costs in the midst of the pandemic that we are going through, and that is not over yet.

“Massive events like yesterday’s in Ciudad Bolívar organized by the Mayor
@ClaudiaLopez are still banned. The Mayor’s Office should set an example for citizens, no one is above the law. This is really irresponsible, “said the councilor, Emel Rojas.

Another voice of rejection was that of councilor Heidy Sánchez, from MAIS. “@ClaudiaLopez
He purposely points out more mobilizations to increase contagion, but meanwhile she herself calls large events to launch ‘Christmas’ that will also leave hundreds of informal vendors without sustenance, on account of Article 6 of Res 1183, “he said.

This weekend there were also crowds in the San Victorino sector, and other shopping centers in the city.
