However, this Tuesday, December 8, Mayor Claudia López announced that the day will be canceled in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This taking into account that this type of activity can generate crowds like those that were presented at the beginning of the month with the inauguration of the Christmas plan, in Ciudad Bolívar.

“The bike path is an opportunity to meet with family and friends. However, learning the lesson of what happened to us very unfortunate the day we turned on the Christmas lights, we decided to cancel it due to the pandemic. Although it is a joyous occasion, it can be an unnecessary risk, ”said the president.

On the other hand, López invited to follow the activities of the “Brilla Bogotá” plan, which will be distributed in different sectors and schedules to avoid crowds.
