Bell over Bell

Bell over Bell

Bell over Bell

Bell over Bell,
And on bell one,
Get close to the window,
You will see the Child in the crib.

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem,
That the angels play
What news do you bring me?

Collected your flock
Where are you going shepherd boy?
I will take to the portal
Cottage cheese, butter and wine.

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem,
That the angels play
What news do you bring me?

Bell over Bell,
And about bell two,
Lean out of that window
Because God has been born.

Bethlehem, bells of Bethlehem,
That the angels play
What news do you bring me?

Prayer for every day

To pray

Prayer for every day.

Kind God of infinite charity, who so loved men, that you gave them in your Son the best pledge of your love, so that made man in the womb of a virgin, he would be born in a manger for our health and remedy.

We, on behalf of all mortals, give you infinite thanks for
such a sovereign benefit. In return to him we offer you the poverty, humility and other virtues of your humanized Son, pleading with you for his divine merits, for the discomfort with which he was born and for the tender tears he shed in the manger,
that you dispose our hearts with deep humility, with fiery love, with total disregard for all things earthly, so that the newborn Jesus may have his cradle in them and may dwell eternally. Amen.

(The Glory to the Father is prayed three times).

Glory to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, now and forever,
forever and ever. Amen

(Also: Beware! See how covid-19 can spread at your Christmas gatherings.)

A donkey goes to Bethlehem

A donkey goes to Belen

A donkey goes to Bethlehem.

Towards Bethlehem goes a donkey, rin, rin,
I patched myself, I patched myself
I put on a patch, I took it off,
Loaded with chocolate;
He carries in his chocolatier rin, rin
I patched myself, I patched myself
I put on a patch, I took it off,
His grinder and his cooker.

Ay Maria, Maria, come here running
That they are eating the chocolatillo
Oh Mary, Mary, come here flying
That they are pulling the chocolatillo

Towards Bethlehem goes a donkey, rin, rin,
I patched myself, I patched myself
I put on a patch, I took it off,
Loaded with chocolate;
He carries in his chocolatier rin, rin
I patched myself, I patched myself
I put on a patch, I took it off,
His grinder and his cooker.

Overcome our fears

Let’s read the Word of God

Joseph, her husband, who was a just man and did not want to denounce her publicly, thought to abandon her in secret, he had already decided when an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said: Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary as wife, since the creature that waits is the work of the Holy Spiritor (Mt 1.19 -20)

Crisis situations such as the pandemic often lead us to reread our lives and events with new eyes and to open ourselves to changes in plans. Our life, even before this crisis, was very organized and the unforeseen, illness and death seemed like very distant things to us. Everything that has happened forced us to adapt and respond creatively to challenges such as, for example, work or virtual education of children and young people from home. Sometimes these adjustments cause tension and even conflict.

Something like this could have happened in the home of the Nazareth family. José came to think that he had been a victim of infidelity, that his fiancée had behaved unfairly with him. However, when Joseph was about to discreetly withdraw from Mary, he recognized the voice of God in the angel, which invited him to a new way of seeing and living things. It was about turning his life around that, from a human perspective, was not going to be easy and that involved a change of plans.

(You can see: Safe commuting, a priority this Christmas).

Christmas

José, after the initial shock, interpreted appropriately and with hope what had happened to him and assumed the changes of plans for the mission that God entrusted to him. In this way he lent his collaboration to the divine work of redemption.

The Lord invites us during these days to read what we are living with hope, to collect the learnings that we did throughout this year. We cannot, after all we have been through, just go back to what we were before. It is necessary to trust that a better world is possible, to open ourselves to novelty and to collaborate with God.

God sets us the pace of hope, so that we put aside fears, mistrust and fears. To those who love God, everything works for the good. Let us confidently open ourselves to the divine novelty and let us also collaborate in the work that God wants to carry out in our world. Let us not allow the changes and social tensions that we live through to generate violence or hostility. May what we are experiencing unite us in the search for the common good. Only if we are united can we positively overcome the difficult situation that we are going through.

Let’s take a step towards the Word

“Let us overcome our fears and prejudices, open ourselves to the new and cultivate brotherhood”

(Also: Christmas in times of pandemic).

Joys

Christmas

My sweet Jesus, my adored Child,
Come to our souls! Come, don’t take so long!

(1) O supreme Wisdom1 of the sovereign God,
that to infantile reach you lower yourself sacral!
Oh Divine Child, come to teach us
the prudence that makes true wise men!

(2) O powerful Adonai2 than Moses speaking,
from Israel to the people you gave the commands!
Ah! come quickly to rescue us,
and may a weak child show a strong arm!

(3) O sacred root of Jesse3, who on high
present to the orb your fragrant tuberose!
Sweet Child that you have been called
lily of the valley, beautiful flower of the field!

(4) Key of David4 that unlocks the outcast
the closed doors of the royal palace!
Take us out, O Child, with your white hand,
from the sad jail that sin made!

5) Oh light of the East5, sun of eternal rays,
May we see your splendor in the darkness!
So precious child, Christian happiness,
shine the smile of your sweet lips!

(6) Spotless mirror, Holy of Holies,
unmatched image of the Sovereign God!
Erase our guilt, save the outcast
and, in the form of a Child, gives the miserable shelter!

(7) King of the nations, Emmanuel!
I long for Israel, Shepherd of the flock!
Child you feed with a soft staff
now the surly sheep, now the meek lamb!

(8) Open up the skies and rain from on high
benefactor dew, like holy watering!
Come beautiful Child, come God humanized!
Shine beautiful star, sprout, flower of the field!

(9) 7 Come, Mary is already preventing her arms,
do your Child see, in near time!
Come, already José, with sacred desire,
he is preparing to take your sacred love!

(10) From the weak help, from the suffering protection,
consolation of the sad, light of the exiled!
Life of my life, my adored Owner,
my constant friend, my divine brother!

(11) See my eyes of You in love!
Kiss your plants now! Kiss your hands now!
Prostrated8 on the ground, I stretch out my arms to you,
and even more than my phrases my cry tells you!
Come, our Savior, for whom we long,
come to our souls, come, do not take so longer!

O most holy Joseph, husband of Mary and adoptive father of Jesus! Infinite thanks we give to God because he chose you for such high ministries and adorned you with all the gifts provided to such excellent greatness. (The Lord’s Prayer is said three times)

Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Let your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our offenses, as we also forgive those who offend us. Do not allow us to fall into temptation and deliver us from evil. Amen.

Prayer to the Child Jesus

Child Jesus

Prayer to the Child Jesus.

Remember, oh most sweet Child Jesus!, That you said to the venerable Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament, and in her person to all your devotees, these words so consoling for our poor overwhelmed and suffering humanity: “Everything you want to ask, ask for it for the merits of my childhood and nothing will be denied you “.

Full of confidence in You, oh Jesus, who are the same truth, we come to present all our misery to You. Help us to lead a holy life, to achieve a blissful eternity.

Grant us by the merits of your incarnation and your childhood, the grace of which we need so much. We surrender to You, O almighty Child!, Certain that our hope will not be frustrated and that by virtue of your divine promise,
you will welcome and respond favorably to our plea. Amen.

(A Glory to the Father is prayed)

Glory to the Father to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, now and forever,
forever and ever. Amen

Zagalillo

Zagalillos

Zagalillos of the valley, come,
little shepherds of the mountain, come.
The hope of a promised God,
It will come, it will come, it will come.

The hope, the glory and the bliss
we will have it in Him, who can doubt it?
Unfortunate of the one who does not come
with the faith that should encourage you.

Zagalillos of the valley, come,
little shepherds of the mountain, come.
The hope of a promised God,
It will come, it will come, it will come.

Will be born in a stable behind,
Come little shepherds, let us adore,
today we come and then we return,
and tomorrow can save them.

Zagalillos of the valley, come,
little shepherds of the mountain, come.
The hope of a promised God,
It will come, it will come, it will come.
