Juan Gabriel Juca is 9 years old, lives with his mother and sister in a modest house located one hour from the city of Cuenca, in Ecuador.
Like many children in Latin America, he manages to study despite adversity. So, with her sister, she takes turns on her mother’s cell phone to do homework.
But an extraordinary episode prevented him from delivering his social work: his sow was going to give birth, so Juan decided to send a voice note to his teacher.
“Professor Nancy, good afternoon, I can tell you that I am not going to send my homework too soon because after classes are over, my ‘cuchi’ starts giving birth and I don’t know until what time it will be. Since my mom hasn’t arrived yet, I have to be seeing the ‘cuchi’ there “says the recording that went viral.
And he added: “As soon as I finish giving birth, I send you the duty, thank you, I hope you understand.
His nobility, bravery and maturity turned Ecuador around, but history transcended borders.
The Teleamazonas channel came to Juan Gabriel’s house to interview him. Also Diana Juca, her mother.
“It is my right arm, it helps me a lot at home, I am in awe of its responsibility”said the lady, who does agricultural work for daily sustenance.
Juanito, as his friends call him, dreams of having a computer. As this is happening, he celebrates that his sow gave birth to nine piglets.
