The pairings for the eighth of the Champions League are already known, after the draw held this Monday in Nyon. Real Madrid, the only Spaniard to finish first in the group stage, they will face Atalanta of Italy, which features Colombians Duván Zapata, Luis Muriel and Johan Mojica.
The Italian team achieved qualification after eliminating Ajax and made things difficult for Liverpool in the group stage.

Atalanta has been surprising Italy for years with its excellent tactical organization and modern and offensive football, although it could reach the crossroads with the Zinedine Zidane team without its captain and leader, Argentine Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gómez, whose break with the coach Giampiero Gasperini could provoke his departure in January.

The rest of the crosses have paired Manchester City with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern with Lazio, Liverpool with RB Leipzig and Porto, of the Colombians Matheus Uribe and Luis Díaz, with Juventus, of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado.
The knockout stages of the round of 16 will be played on the dates of February 16-17 and 23-24 for the first leg matches, while the return matches are scheduled March 9-10 and 16-17.
