Canada is looking for Colombian technicians and professionals

Colombians will have the opportunity to work in Canada through an open call by the Government of Quebec and the Sena Public Employment Agency.

Through Twitter, the national coordinator of the Sena Public Employment Agency, Jaime Vence Ariza, announced the offer. “Thanks to the restart of activities in Canada and the intermediation of our Public Employment Agency, you will now be able to find job opportunities in Quebec.”

Currently, there are several ways to receive residency in Canada, but it is not the same throughout the country. As Canada is a confederation, not a Republic, the laws and requirements that a foreigner needs to emigrate depend a lot on the province in which they want to establish themselves.

Initially, people who want to work in Canada must have a work permit, which is provided through two programs. The first is a Labor Market Impact Study, processed by the employer who needs a foreign worker. And, the other option for those interested is through an agreement, as in this case, between both countries.

In this area, we are looking for personnel in operation of machines for plastic products, flexographic press operation and people with mechanical knowledge.

For required charges, you must have two years of experience, command of French and basic English and technical academic training.

In addition, the salary fluctuates between eight and ten million Colombian pesos, and the working hours are forty hours a week.

In this field, there are sixteen positions available. Applicants must have a nAdvanced level in French and be graduated in Social Work. In this case the salary will be between ten and twelve million pesos, complying with 35 weekly hours of work.

This sector is looking for four people to carry out the position of construction worker. To apply, you must have a basic level of English and French, an academic bachelor’s diploma and one year of experience.

The monthly payment will vary between six and eight million Colombian pesos, for 40 hours of work from Monday to Friday.

To apply for this offer, it is a requirement to have two years of experience in the area and have the knowledge and skill to install cable networks, Also, they need a valid driving license in the country. Here, only two people will have the opportunity to stay.

Those interested in this work must manage a level of Intermediate English and at least an academic bachelor’s degree. On the other hand, those elected will receive between six and eight million Colombian pesos, in a thirty-hour work week.
