The murder of a woman inside a station of the MIO mass transit system caused shock and pain in eastern Cali.
Mayor Jorge Iván Ospina went to the site to express his rejection of the crime and said that he should not go unpunished. The authorities offered a reward of 20 million pesos.

At 9:29 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, María Cristina Ballen was at the station in the Santa Mónica Popular sector, in the area where buses are expected on the routes to the east of the city.

The video shows that the aggressor jumps through the passenger access door to the buses and remains open due to damage attributed to users.

In principle, the name of the victim was not established because he would not have documents, but later it was specified that it was María Cristina Ballen, 46, who was a mother and grandmother.

Authorities are looking for a slim, young-looking man who wore a mask, a red cap, a white long-sleeved T-shirt with different colored spots, and sports shoes.
