Cali exceeds 2,000 deaths from covid-19 this Sunday

With the 14 deaths from covid-19 that were registered this Sunday, Cali reaches 2007 deaths since the arrival of the virus in the country.

The other 9 deaths reported in Valle del Cauca on this day are in Yumbo (2), Zarzal (2) and one by one in Cartago, Buga, Palmira, Florida and Andalusia.

Thus, the general balance of the department reaches 2,963 deaths from diseases derived from the new coronavirus.

Regarding infections, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection indicated that 701 cases were confirmed today, with which the region reaches the figure of 89,704.

At the national level, the bulletin of the highest health authority reports that there are 7,440 new cases, which make the country reach 1,143,887 infections since the start of the pandemic.

The same report highlights that of these cases, 70,467 are active. In addition, the number of recovered in Colombia is already 1,038,082.

With regard to deaths, Minsalud reported 196 (182 belong to previous days) deaths, which leave the country with 32,791 fatalities.

Finally, the National Institute of Health, INS, stated that today 32,902 covid-19 tests were processed: 25,340 PCR and 7,562 antigens.

Worldwide, 1,250,275 people have died from diseases derived from covid-19, according to the WHO
