Caleña influencer was sent to jail for alleged drug trafficking

This Friday, in Armenia, a guarantee control judge issued an assurance measure in prison to Angélica María Hernández Ramírez, a noted influencer of drug trafficking, confirmed the sectional director of the Prosecutor’s Office in Quindío, Justino Hernández Murcia.

That is, the woman, who participated in the reality show Desafío 2016, will have to continue her legal process from jail.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Hernández used his social networks to promote and incite the consumption of narcotic substances, through the sale of food products such as gums, chocolates and vapers.

The 33-year-old influencer, who has almost two million followers on Instagram and was captured a few days ago in Medellín, would be part of the criminal organization ‘Los Académicos’, exposes the investigation that began in 2019.

Specifically, Hernández will have to answer for the alleged crimes of conspiracy to commit aggravated crimes, trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs; manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; illicit destination of real estate, and encouragement to illicit use.

The aforementioned charges, except the last one, were also charged against six other people, alleged members of ‘Los Académicos’.

One of them was sheltered with a security measure in a prison establishment, three with home detention, and two were released, but they will continue to be linked to the process.

Neither Hernández nor the others involved accepted the charges.

The Prosecutor’s Office assured that the influencer, “through eight accounts on social networks, allegedly encouraged people to buy products containing cannabis.”

Hernández’s involvement in drug trafficking is “sufficiently” proven in videos, financial analysis and social media, the agency said.

“Among the foods with narcotic substances there were cookies that cost $ 5,000. It was established that it sold around 10 cookies a day, as well as chocolates and gums for four units at a cost of $ 50,000. Also cakes for $ 8,000 and vapers for $ 140,000, among others “, explained the accusing body.

From ‘Los Académicos’ they seized two firearms, six cell phones, three computers, 15,000 doses of marijuana, used to manufacture cannabis foods, 25 cannabis gums, 10 jars of TCH (distilled marijuana), 2 machines to make rossin (extract of marijuana) and money of various denominations (3,000 dollars, 210 euros, $ 60 Chilean, $ 270 Mexican and $ 3,300,000 Colombian).

On his Instagram account, Hernández posted a message claiming to be “innocent.” “Work is being done by our team of lawyers to come back stronger and give them all my energy and love,” he added.
