Thus, the court’s determination is that Trujillo during the next two days render a report, in writing, in which he states how he complied with order number four of the ruling issued by the Supreme Court of Justice.

It is worth mentioning that the directive of the high court was registered on behalf of a guardianship that more than 40 people filed against President Iván Duque, the Ministry of Defense, and other authorities of local interest, because they saw their rights to peaceful protest violated, integrity and life among others.

In the ruling, the Court ordered the high government to carry out actions that guaranteed the right to protest, in addition to Trujillo asking for excuses, however, the minister missing half an hour to meet his deadline to offer an apology, he said through a statement that the excuses had been offered days before, when the death of the law student, Javier Ordóñez, occurred at the hands of two policemen.

Under that understanding, Uribe considered that a possible contempt was registered by the minister, and decided to take legal action, which was resolved this Friday. It is expected that the head of the defense portfolio will deliver such a document and the course of legal action will be defined.
