Bucaramanga will not have a peak and ID: in the rest of Santander the measure continues

After a meeting with the mayors of Floridablanca, Piedecuesta, Girón San Gil, Socorro and Barrancabermeja, Governor Mauricio Aguilar announced that the measurement of the peak and ID continues in these municipalities but with a variation.

The leaders maintained the curfew from 9:00 at night to 5:00 in the morning every day. This in order to avoid social events such as parties.

In addition, it was reported that as a result of the decrease in cases in recent weeks, it is prudent to modify the peak and two-digit ID to an even and odd one.

This September 16 those people whose last digit of the ID is an even number will be able to mobilize and on September 17, citizens with ID ending in an odd digit will do the same.

In another solo twist, Mayor Juan Carlos Cárdenas decided on the morning of September 15 not to avail himself of the restrictions set forth in a metropolitan council.

According to the mayor, as of next Wednesday, September 16, the capital of Santander will not have a peak and ID restriction and its curfew will be in force from 11:00 at night to 5:00 in the morning.

This announcement comes about 24 hours after the same president on social networks assured that he was going to ask the metropolitan council to approve the restriction of the peak and the even and odd card, as agreed this morning.

However, once again the Mayor’s Office deviates from what was agreed with the other mayors of the metropolitan area and decided to repeal the restriction.

“Attention: the peak and identity card are raised and the curfew will go from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am in Bucaramanga. This is how we have defined it after a meeting with economic unions and citizens,” the president announced in networks.
