Annoyance in Medellín has caused the act of vandalism carried out on the sculptures of Fernando Botero, located in the center of the city. Some affected works were Woman with a Mirror, Head, Dog, Horse, among others.

A citizen who expressed her disappointment in the face of this fact on social networks said, “this fact is reprehensible and regrettable. One does not understand that someone wants to damage the art, culture and national heritage that we have in Medellín “.

A total of 9 works were affected; they are visibly stained with paint, but apparently it contains another chemical that makes this paint cling to them.

For its part, Corpocentro, the Civic Corporation that works for the development of the center of Medellín also rejected what they did with the works and pointed out, “these works are part of the public heritage of Medellín and are one of the greatest pride of the city.”

The Museum of Antioquia investigates and makes a report that will be presented to the competent authorities, while the Police investigates the guilty of this act through security cameras.

They discover a drawing of Leonardo with the “real” face of Salvator Mundi … and it would be a fake
