The authorities are awaiting the evidence to establish whether a body found in Bogotá corresponds to that of Linda Michelle Amaya Buelvas, the 15-year-old minor who disappeared on November 30 in the center of Bogotá.

Although her family was in Legal Medicine on December 31 and assured that the body corresponds to that of the minor, There are still processes in Legal Medicine that indicate, definitively, that it is Michelle.

This body had been found on December 1 and, since that date, has remained in Legal Medicine.

“They inform us that Legal Medicine has contact with the mother, where they request DNA tests to find out if there is any degree of consanguinity and the mother, apparently, recognizes that the body corresponds to Michelle. We cannot officially determine if it corresponds or no, Legal Medicine will give the concept once the tests are done, “said the Police at a press conference on January 1.

Her family has been desperately searching for her since day one. According to her story, given to CITY TV, the minor left by bicycle from her home, in the north of Bogotá, to the center. He was heading to the Jiménez station to retrieve a cell phone that had been stolen from him.

“The complaints have been filed and everything has been done in a pertinent manner so that they can help me locate her,” said the mother in tears and added, “It’s exhausting knowing that I’m fighting this alone.” The family assured that there were not enough actions to allow finding Michelle’s trace.

His greatest distress was that Michelle had a mild cognitive disability.

At the time, there were people who maintained that they had seen her in the San Bernardo neighborhood.

This week, a sit-in had been called to demand the results of their search from the authorities. He even denounced that he had received extortion calls from people who asked him for large sums of money in exchange for information on Michelle’s whereabouts.

“Christmas passed and my girl was not there. The year is ending and my girl is not there”, assured the mother during the sit-in.

The Police assured that it advances “all the camera sweep and surely we will reach the author of this crime.”
