In Bogotá, the sale of intoxicating drinks as an accompaniment to meals in establishments open to the public such as restaurants and gastrobars was allowed until 12 at night. However, as of this Tuesday, that schedule underwent a modification.

This was stated by the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, as part of the measures adopted to face the contagion of the new coronavirus and the occupation of ICU beds this Christmas season.

“The Ministry of Health took a measure that we shared, they consulted us and we agreed and it is to suspend the sale of liquor until 10 at night, it seems good to us, we have no problem,” said López.

According to the president, this and the other measures that were announced, will be evaluated on December 26 next, and thus determine if more drastic actions would be needed on the 31st.
