The National Police confirmed that an unfortunate event occurred at 8:30 am on Friday, December 25, in the country’s capital. It was a traffic accident that occurred in the Sierra Morena sector, in the town of Ciudad Bolívar, south of the city.
(Also: 26 burned last night in Bogotá, 12 of them minors)
A truck crashed into a car in which a family was traveling.
“A tank vehicle overturns and falls into a car that was transporting a mother, father and four children. From this misfortune the father and a minor of 5 years died. The other people are in medical care ”, Carlos Rodríguez, director of Citizen Security of the National Police, and who served as director of transit for the Institution until December 24.
The high official sent a message of solidarity to the Arana family, which was affected, and announced that investigations are already underway to determine the reasons for this event.
It has not yet been confirmed if any of the drivers involved were under the influence of alcohol.
