The incident occurred in the town of Ciudad Bolívar, on Villavicencio avenue with Gaitán Cortés. Men from the Bogotá Police captured the alleged aggressor, an 18-year-old young man.

“We are presented with a case of intolerance; Apparently, due to an argument, a fight was generated between the two drivers. What those who observed tell us is that one of them tries to call someone and the aggressor begins his journey, drags and runs over this person ”, said the Colonel Roberto Carlos Sánchez, commander of the Ciudad Bolívar police station.

The deceased person was identified as 36-year-old Michael Hernández Suárez. A native of Bogotá and who leaves three children: a two-year-old baby, a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old daughter. The victim had been driving for the SITP dealership Suma for five years.

Everything indicates that meters behind the place where Michael fell dead, the driver of the provisional SITP had hit him on the side, damaged a mirror and fled.

Michael followed him, caught up with him, and got out of the vehicle. He claimed his colleague through the window and at that moment he would have run over him.

This was told by one of the victim’s passengers to the Citytv Night Man. “The guy came out of the traffic light in La Coruña, and dragged him diagonally to his whereabouts there and left him lying there at the crossroads to take Gaitán Cortés avenue.”

Once this was done, the young man abandoned the car and tried to flee. Cops From the area they captured him believing that he had just stolen a bus, but later it was found that he was the aggressor.

Colleagues of the victim announced that today they will pay a tribute to Michael. “We will dress our buses in mourning in rejection of violence, we will be traveling the roads as we normally do, but we will be honoring the life of our operator with this. We will be under the campaign #NoMoreViolenceOurRoads”They stated in Suma.

Although initially the investigation of this fact was going to be assumed by the Traffic Police, because it was, apparently, an accident, it will be the homicide team of the Sijín de Bogotá that will assume this unfortunate case.

For this, in TransMilenio they informed that they will make all the corresponding information and collaboration available to the security authorities.

“TransMilenio regrets what happened and is in solidarity with the family of the operator who died in these events. In coordination with the dealer to which the operator belonged, the accompaniment of his family will begin ”, they reported.
