The heavy downpour this Wednesday afternoon caused the first floods of the second rainy season of the year, expected to begin between September and October.
According to the Official Firefighters, at this time there is an emergency in Carrera 15 with Calle 71, due to flooding of a basement, and in Carrera 7 with Calle 245 due to the fall of a tree

The emergency is attended by the fire station in Chapinero, which carries out “work with motor pumps to evacuate a sheet of water of approximately 40 centimeters into a basement.”
At the scene 3 vehicles (two motorcycles and an electric bicycle) were affected, and no injuries were reported. The area is secured.
There are also reports of citizens through social networks of flooding in some houses in the sector of Calle 71 with Carrera 16.

And in Carrera 7 with Calle 245, in the north of the city, a tree fell.
This situation is taken care of by the Caobos Station firefighters, who cut and bucking a tree.
In that area the vehicular passage is restricted. Fortunately there are no injured people.
