The commander of the Bogotá Police, General Óscar Gómez reported on Saturday morning that the positive result of a uniformed body of the institution was learned in the last hours.
‘’ Biosecurity and self-protection protocols were immediately activated, he was transferred to the hospital and rapid tests were carried out in the closest circle in order to avoid further contagion, ’’ said General Óscar Gómez.
The commander also assured that at the moment all the personnel are in isolation, and he clarified some rumors that leaked on social networks.
“We want to report that what we did was isolate our staff to prevent further contagion in our unit after medical personnel arrived to attend to the situation,” Gómez added.
According to the institution, the infected uniform is currently in the Police Hospital, and the other officials who had contact with him are isolated pending the result of rapid tests to detect if there were more infections.
