The owner of the 2017 Ford Mustang, which last Saturday ran over a motorcyclist on Carrera 15 with Calle 82, in Bogotá, has already presented himself to the Prosecutor’s Office.
EL TIEMPO located him and, through his lawyer, gave his version of why he hit a car and took a motorcyclist away without even helping him.
In fact, the Police located the Mustang on Tuesday morning, when it was outside a residential complex, on 152nd Street with Carrera 58, waiting for the tow truck that the insurer had sent to arrive.

EL TIEMPO searched the vehicle’s history in databases and established that The company ‘Nicolás Martínez Gutiérrez S en C.’ is on behalf of the company, with the SOAT up to date.
“My client is a man of approximately 30 years of age, and he has already appeared before the Prosecutor’s Office,” lawyer Mauricio Pava Linares told EL TIEMPO.

And he gave his version of events.
“He received cash that a friend gave him. After entering a place to have a drink with his girlfriend, he detected two people on a motorcycle who were chasing him,” said lawyer Pava Linares.

According to the lawyer, he realized that they were chasing him and when he tried to flee the accident occurred.

“If the gentlemen of the motorcycle had reached him, today the news would be different. That my client would be killed by the action of the freight forwarders,” said Pava Linares.
Asked for security
He also said that He asked the authorities for security because he is receiving threats from motorcycle groups.
“We are asking the authorities and neighboring buildings for security camera videos to show that my client was fleeing from a motorcycle that was following him,” added lawyer Pava Linares.

And added that they will pay all the damages caused to the motorcyclist, identified as Jhonatan Rocuts, and to the owner of the vehicle hit.
Apparently, the motorcyclist suffered injuries to his skull and hip, and although they were not more serious, he did file the corresponding complaint.
In addition, he assured that it is not true that a personal injury complaint hearing has occurred, as they are still awaiting the opinion of Legal Medicine on the affectations suffered by the motorcyclist.
Why didn’t the car have a license plate?
Preliminary information allowed the traffic police to find the vehicle on the outskirts of a residential complex in the Colina Campestre neighborhood. However, this one did not carry the badge.
“It is possible to show that the vehicle does not carry any kind of license plates, in the same way the tapes that fully identified it were removed”said General Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez, Police Director of Traffic and Transportation.
EL TIEMPO asked the lawyer why the license plate had been removed and he said that he was not at the scene and that he did not know the answer.
