A protest by indigenous people is reported this Thursday afternoon at the El Dorado Airport in Bogotá. The cultural takeover was recorded from 3 pm, when the group of protesters was located, first, in peaceful demonstrations on the outskirts and, later, inside the air terminal.
Among the slogans are the demand for respect for the life of indigenous communities, the rejection of massacres and murders of social leaders, criticism of the National Government, the denouncement of displacement and the dispossession of land and the request for compliance with the agreements of peace.
In the middle of the blockade, the indigenous Misak, Nasa and Pijao performed dances, songs and musical interventions. There is also a presence of the Indigenous Authorities of the Southwest.
The Investigative Unit of EL TIEMPO confirmed that the authorities are investigating whether, upon entry, the doors were violated.

Meanwhile, some indigenous authorities have already expressed their support for the action on Thursday. “The Misak people carry out a peaceful seizure of the El Dorado airport in Bogotá. They demand the government of @IvanDuque to stop the murder of indigenous peoples”, trilled Martha Peralta Epieyu, president of the MAIS Movement.

It is expected that there will be a statement from the indigenous leaders about their demands on the Government.
For the moment, Aerocivil has already confirmed that air operations in El Dorado continue normally.
This protest occurs one day after the national strike in which the Indigenous Minga participated before leaving for the return to Cauca.
At the moment, the indigenous people remain inside the air terminal. Meanwhile, the second level access road is guarded by the Available Police Force.
