Bogotá began on Thursday, August 27, the phase of gradual economic reactivation. The ‘new normal’ that will govern until next December 31 brought with it the opening of sectors, the end of quarantines and the return of the Sunday bike path and metropolitan parks.
After more than five months, Bogota citizens will be able to go out to exercise as they did every Sunday before the pandemic. But beware! Self-care is still in force and it is the key so that the reopening is maintained.
EL TIEMPO gives you some recommendations to go out to these spaces and tells you the minute by minute of the first Sunday of the ‘new reality’.
(Also: Guide for the new phase of care in Bogotá).
To keep in mind
Both the parks and the bike path and the pedestrian path to go up to Monserrate will only be enabled from seven in the morning to two in the afternoon. The use of face masks is mandatory to enter and stay in each of these places.
Throughout the day you will find signage and staff responsible for ensuring that biosafety protocols are met. You must maintain social distancing of at least two meters and follow all the instructions from the authorities.
Avoid crowds. While it is true that you can visit these places with your family, follow the rules, remember that self-care is the key to this new phase.
Don’t forget to bring your own hydration and snack. Sales of food and beverages are not allowed in these spaces. Pack antibacterial gel or alcohol so you can continuously sanitize your hands. And very important: apply sunscreen.
