An explosion took the residents of the La Florida neighborhood (Engativá town) by surprise where, on 70th Street with Carrera 88a, a loud crash was heard from inside a tank of gas pipettes.

Bogotá firefighters confirmed that, at the time, the Garcés Navas and Ferias stations are already in place verifying the emergency.

According to a first alert, there was a “Apparent explosion in a gas tank on Calle 70a with Carrera 88A”.

10 people are being evaluated at the point that stored 80 gas pipettes.

At the moment, according to Firefighters, “There is no report of people injured or trapped inside the building.”
