Two boys, ages 9 and 11, received a threatening message at the door of their house, in the Salitre neighborhood (Suba town). The reason? They were playing in the park of the complex and, apparently, the noise bothered some people.

“They were inside the Set … they are several children playing, every day, at a permitted time, before 5 pm. They laugh, run, ride a bicycle … some neighbors did not like it and they left us a note in the garden, threatening the children“says the mother of one of the minors.

The message in question marks the children and their family as ‘mountaineers’, ‘rude’, ‘pantalleros’ and ‘rude’. In addition, they accuse them of disturbing the tranquility of the whole. “Take care of your child does not suffer an accident,” says the message that ends with a “disgusting family.”

“We understand that we are in a pandemic, the children have been locked up for almost six months and, with the decrease in restrictions, they have begun to leave,” says the mother and adds “This is a call for tolerance, empathy and that we all go through the stage of being children. The space belongs to everyone.”

The case will be brought to the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office and also before the Local Mayor’s Office of Suba.

“My daughter, who found the note, is very distressed. Yesterday she asked us to leave the group, she is afraid that they will leave her alone or that something will happen to her,” the woman warns.
