“By God! This is the best news.” That was the first pronouncement of the relatives of Ángela Ferro, the woman attacked with an ax by Miguel Camilo Parra, her partner, in the El Redil neighborhood, in Bogotá.
Parra was captured at 10:30 pm on Monday at a farm in the municipality of Fusagasugá. It was known that he had changed his appearance to go unnoticed.

Angela’s family has yet to come out of the commotion. They are filled with joy that justice is being served, but there is also some anxiety because the attack against this woman was brutal.
For its part, Ángela Ferro, who is still in recovery, said that she still does not understand why her partner was able to commit such an attack. “He had already been aggressive, he had thrown me out of bed; he had tried to bite me, but at the same time he was detailed and changed. It was as if he were two different people,” said the woman, who is already in recovery.

Ferro also confirmed that before the attack she already had an apartment ready to move in and end her relationship with.
He added that his son was not attacked because in the midst of the dysfunctional they had a good relationship with his ex-partner. “His capture was a surprise, I am very nervous, I am happy. I know that there is a long process coming, but I am also very afraid. Former partners of him have appeared who suffered more or the same as me and who had to leave the country.”

EL TIEMPO spoke with César Augusto Lóndoño, representative of Miguel Camilo Parra, who said that in the afternoon he will publish a press release and that, in his capacity as director of the firm and its spokesperson, will absolve or explain some items that are relevant to carry out a fair legal challenge in this case.
For its part, the Woman Despierta Foundation, which has supported Angela’s family since the case became known, said: “We achieved it once again, unity is strength”, recognizing the work of those who participated and asked for justice. “Only you can, but you cannot alone, we are with you,” added Raúl Costa, director of that foundation.
The Governor of Cundinamarca Nicolás García also addressed the issue. “In a joint effort between the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police, Miguel Parra was captured, who attacked his sentimental partner Angela Ferro with an ax. We ratify our support so that acts against women do not occur and when these events occur, the authorities will always be there to do justice. A thousand and a thousand thanks to all the entities that participated in this operation that first followed this aggressor in the municipality of Mosquera and then captured him in Fusagasugá. ”
