It is not the first time that cyclists have been victims of violent robberies in this area of the city, but this time it was massive. On Tuesday, December 29, at around 5:15 in the morning, a group of five amateur cyclists was docked at the Virgilio Barco library bike path.

The victims were intercepted by at least 12 criminals who were also mobilizing on bicycles and with whom they met head-on.
At the point of machetes and knives, they were subdued, threatened, and stripped of their personal items and four high-end sports bicycles.

The victims were assisted by the CAI San Fernando police quadrants, which in turn transferred the stolen cyclists to their respective homes.
With a sit-in, residents and cyclists from the Modelo Norte, San Fernando and Pablo VI neighborhoods rejected the latest criminal acts and asked for greater accompaniment on the bike paths in the towns of Teusaquillo and Barrios Unidos.
