Barranquilla: Welder Walter Alexander Polo was shot dead in the Por Fin neighborhood – Barranquilla – Colombia

A few hours after a fight was recorded in the El Por Fin neighborhood of Barranquilla, the death of a man who was involved in the brawl and whose death is attributed, by witnesses, to one of the policemen who attended the case.

According to the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, one of the caravans attended to what was happening at dawn on Friday, January 1, and three people were injured: two with a sharp weapon and one with a firearm.

Later, This person injured with the firearm was transferred to a health center, where he died hours later. given the seriousness of the injuries he suffered in the thorax and in one of his legs.

“One of these people states that the person who caused the injury was a police officer, which is why the respective investigations are being carried out to clarify this fact,” said the operational commander of the Barranquilla Police, Colonel Álex Suárez.

The officer added that the policeman alleged to have caused the injuries and subsequent death of the citizen, who was engaged in welding, he has not been removed from office while investigations continue.
