Bancolombia revealed that it has approved quotas of $ 17.4 billion for 293,000 SMEs and independent businesses in Colombia during the crisis unleashed by the coronavirus.
Likewise, it reported that it totals $ 2.9 billion pre-approved for 5,896 business customers.
“We are inviting SMEs, businesses and freelancers to use this line to secure employment and pay their payroll, this should be a priority,” said Cristina Arrastía, Vice President of Business at Bancolombia.
The bank said that in Colombia SMEs generate 80% of employment and companies have different needs to continue operating in the midst of this situation.
For this reason, the entity said, it supports its clients SMEs, independent and business businesses with a decrease in interest rates from 7.66% to 12.9% annual cash for those loans guaranteed by the FNG with 90% coverage.
