Avianca announced that, after the authorization of Phase 2 of domestic operations, as of October 1 it will resume flights from Bogotá to eleven national destinations.
The eleven destinations are Armenia, Corozal, Barrancabermeja, Yopal, Florencia, Ibagué, Manizales, Neiva, Popayán, Riohacha and Villavicencio. These cities are added to those that were already operating in San Andrés, Barranquilla, Cali, Cúcuta, Medellín, Cartagena, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Pasto and Santa Marta.

Julián Laverde, Vice President of Network Operations, assured that the second phase of the resumption of domestic flights is marked by the reactivation of a large number of regional airports, of great relevance for Avianca and its customers.
“Our mission is to continue connecting Colombia, which is why we are very excited to start connecting the country’s regions again. In this phase, self-care and strict follow-up that passengers have of biosafety protocols is still key. On our side, customers they can fly with absolute confidence, because we will take care of continuing to take care of them, as well as our employees, “he said.
The airline highlighted in its balance sheet that, since September 1, it has made about a thousand flights, with 94 thousand passengers being transported to destinations authorized by the National Government.
The destinations with the highest demand have been Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena and Medellín, cities in which the airline operates between 2 and 4 daily frequencies.
