Attempt to escape leaves 13 people injured at the Soacha Police station

According to the governor, a riot and attempted escape at the Soacha police station left 11 detainees and two soldiers wounded.

These people were transferred by CRUE Cundinamarca and CRUE Bogotá, to different healthcare centers for their respective medical care.

“Unfortunately, there is a riot against the Police by the relatives of the inmates who were kept in the cells, and in parallel there is also a riot of the detainees who piled up the mats and set them on fire.”said the Cundinamarca Police Commander, Colonel César Castro.

According to the uniformed, 11 of those captured were injured with first and second degree burns.

“These people were transferred to the cardiovascular hospital in the municipality of Soacha, four of them were transferred to the Simón Bolívar Hospital in the city of Bogotá due to the severity of the injuries.”added Colonel Castro.

Finally reported, that the Technical Investigation Body (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office will carry out the respective investigations to establish the circumstances of time, manner and place, with which these events occurred.
