After the elimination last Saturday of the quarterfinals in the 2020 BetPlay League, Atlético Nacional began its project for 2021, where it will have a new coaching staff which should arrive very soon and confirmed the departure of five players from its squad, who were complying contract on December 31, 2020. José Fernando Cuadrado, Helibelton Palacios, Diego Braghieri, Estéfano Arango and Fabián González Lasso, are the men who will no longer be dressed in green.
The club specified that “once our participation in the 2020 League is closed, Atlético Nacional informs that the players José Fernando Cuadrado, Helibelton Palacios, Diego Braghieri, Estéfano Arango and Fabián González Lasso will not continue for next year. Best wishes to them in their personal and professional future ”.
Regarding the new coach, Nacional pointed out that “in the next few days the Club will announce the hiring of the Technical Corps that will lead the team for the 2021 season, hoping to be able to count on its presence in the city of Medellín as soon as possible for adopt decisions regarding the formation of the squad, and define the arrival of new footballers and evaluate additional departures ”.
Finally, the green team of Antioquia thanked the support and affection of its fans during this season and regretted not having achieved sports achievements.
