Atlético Nacional does not have a good sporting moment and rumors began to grow about a bad relationship between President Juan David Pérez with the coaching staff headed by Juan Carlos Osorio. Although the ‘mister’ denied some kind of conflict in a previous press conference, it was prudent to know Pérez’s version, in which he coincides with the Risaralda strategist.
“To pronounce on rumors is not good, they are topics that are emerging I do not know with what intention. I don’t understand why to get along with people, you have to have the same ideas. We may have differences, but there must always be respect. We talk to the teacher every day, we believe in the project. There will be situations where we do not agree, but it does not mean that we have a bad relationship. We talk about what is happening with the club and on the footballing issue, we have the confidence to discuss the different issues, always with total respect. With the ‘teacher’ Osorio we agreed to go until December and on that date we will look ahead ”, he remarked.
Another of the issues on which President Pérez referred was about Gustavo Torres, his departure from the team and the words of the Cauca forward where he stated that the “club did not support him.” “What about Gustavo (Torres) does not give to talk more, the ‘teacher’ Osorio gambled everything for him, he was given every opportunity and I don’t know what the player is referring to. We don’t owe him anything ”.
Regarding the contractual, the leader stated that “Gustavo Torres has a contract until December 2022. One year after the loan he has with Vasco da Gama. When it is loaned to a player, the contract must be with a date greater than the time of the loan, otherwise, the time of its link with the club that lends it expires and the club that has it would negotiate directly with the player ”.
Regarding the names of the possible reinforcements for 2021. Pérez indicated that “we are evaluating the situations to make the squad for next year. There are difficulties as some players are in competition. In the case of Colombian soccer, there are two competitions that will continue next year, such as the Colombia Cup and the South American Cup in their final phases ”.
In addition, he stressed that “it is a great challenge to strengthen the squad and more a club of a League like the Colombian. National sells to foreign leagues. It is not only that a team wants or not to buy the sports rights of a player, but that it runs the salaries, the personal part, talking with the intermediaries, in short. We must achieve that balance, to establish a competitive team. The Brazilian market reopened and that is why Gustavo Torres was transferred, they have called us a lot from that country, but we try to keep a large number of players to try to maintain the sports project. There is a technical commission where the positions are evaluated, then the names to carry out the negotiations. This commission evaluates and makes the decisions, when we are right, we are all right and when we are wrong, it is also for everyone ”.
One of the names that began to sound is that of Avilés Hurtado, a player who was in 2012 and who would be released next year from Monterrey. “The Avilés thing draws attention because we have not contacted the club, but one ends up finding out how with the contractual relationship and that catches our attention. I don’t know where that news comes from.
