This Saturday, Atlético Junior published a statement confirming that several members of the squad have tested positive for coronavirus and they will not be able to be for the next meetings of the Colombian League and Copa Conmebol Sudamericana.
The Colombian team announced three new cases on their social networks, including two footballers and a member of the coaching staff. In total there are 10 active cases, 7 are players and 3 are members of the coaching staff
“Atlético Junior is allowed to inform the media and the general public that, in compliance with the protocol and within the dates established in the calendar for conducting tests for the diagnosis of SARS-COV2 in relation to the 8 players who were positive in previous tests, three of them had negative results. Additionally, 2 new cases were added in the group of players and one in the coaching staff “reported the cast of the city of Barranquilla.
In addition, the publication indicates that the members of the team who are infected are in isolation and under monitoring by the EPS, complying with the corresponding epidemiological fences.
In this way, the infected players will miss the second leg of the semifinals against América de Cali and the second leg of the quarterfinals of the South American Cup against Coquimbo Unido.
