A few hours before the celebration of the night of the Velitas begins, the Mayor of Bucaramanga, Juan Carlos Cárdenas, signed the decree that changes curfew time for holiday celebrations.
On December 7, 8, 24, 25 and 31, and January 1, the curfew will be from 11:00 at night to 5:00 in the morning.
This measure makes the curfew unified in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga, taking into account that the municipalities of Piedecuesta, Floridablanca and Girón, they had already announced the new schedule.

In Bucaramanga and the metropolitan area gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited and crowds in public places.
The sale of liquor is suspended in restaurants, soda fountains, shops and gastrobars during on December 8, 25, and January 1.
In Bucaramanga, civic afternoon is also decreed on December 24 and 31 from 2:00 p.m., in order that workers they can spend more time with their families.
