The 26-year-old Colombian runner was assisted by security officials placed in that area before an ambulance arrived to take him to a nearby Palermo hospital.

“He came to the hospital unable to move a leg because of pain and with deep cuts, as reported by the Astana team directors to the Italian television “Rai”.
