It was 4 in the morning yesterday when two shots were heard. There was practically no one at that time near the Primero de Mayo sector, in El Pozón neighborhood, on the La Cordialidad highway.
There are those who say that they only managed to see two people fleeing on a bicycle towards the roundabout that is in that sector and later they were lost from sight.
Those who managed to get up at that time notified the authorities because the body of a person had been left in the middle of the road and full of blood. “It looked like going for a job. I was carrying a bag ”, assured a neighbor of the sector.
Once the police from the quadrant arrived to corroborate the information, they identified the victim as Misael Mosquera Hurtado, a native of Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca), but also had Venezuelan nationality. He was 52 years old.

Other people assured that Mosquera Hurtado had been seen near a chain store near the Transport Terminal and, apparently, he had walked to the place where he was murdered. “What is said is that they had made a call, but nobody gives certainty of that, is what is said,” said a resident of El Pozón.
When the agents arrived at the site, the deceased found all his belongings, so a robbery has been ruled out so far. As time passed, people who came closer to see if they recognized the victim said they did not recognize her and, apparently, she did not live in that sector.
“It is said that the murderers were in hiding waiting for him to arrive at the place. Once they saw him, they came out unexpectedly, approached him and killed him. They fled from one ”, was what was reported.
In the same way, many were admired by the way the events occurred, as they say how is it possible that “thugs no longer use motorcycles, but bicycles and are not captured by the authorities.”
Regarding this case, the Metropolitan Police of Cartagena has not reported any arrests.
