With those words, General Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro Miranda, commander of the National Army, paid tribute to the Bolivarian soldier who died on Thursday during the combats that Army troops held with members of the Eln in the village of Sitio Nuevo, in the municipality of Arauquita. in Arauca.

The heroic action of Romero Teherán (a native of El Carmen de Bolívar) and his companions caused some 30 men from the Domingo Laín Sáenz front, Omaira Montoya Henao commission, to desist from the terrorist actions they allegedly intended to commit in the center of Puerto Jordán, Arauca, more specifically against the Military Canton as part of the celebration of its commemorative dates.
