“Faced with a video that circulates on social networks, in which a uniformed man who is doing his military service makes inappropriate comments, it is important to clarify that what is expressed there does not correspond to the feelings of the troops deployed in the department of Chocó“reads one of the three trills posted on Twitter.
In the 29-second video, a soldier is heard affirming: “here seeing that the President makes you stay up late (…) just for coming to take a walk around the boardwalk and go back to Bogotá (sic) in less than 10 minutes. He made us stay up late and be on our feet since five in the afternoon. See, this is not fair. ”
The Seventh Division noted that Duque arrived in Quibdó this Monday night and spent the night at the military base. “The next morning, the supreme commander of the @FuerzasMilCol greeted and thanked the work of each of the soldiers deployed in this department. The visit ended with a security meeting at the facilities of the military unit, “the statement read.
Duque was in Quibdó analyzing the public order situation in the city due to the fact that a criminal network that calls itself ‘Los Mexicanos’ forced the population, through intimidating pamphlets, to take shelter in their homes after six late all weekend.

The military institution noted that the head of state was speaking with the community of the capital of Chocó.
Sources from the institution told EL TIEMPO that the uniformed man who is heard speaking in the video, in effect, is about to finish his military service and reiterated that “It is not the feeling of the men and women who have a sense of belonging to the institution in their military careers“.
