The Arena del Río will be a multifunctional complex for 53,000 spectators and the only roofed structure of this size in Latin America. It will be built in Barranquilla.

The place will have a mobile lawn that will give way to a large stage for shows.
“That allows not only that the great shows come to Barranquilla, but also that the talent come to the city to live to export music, television and fashion design”, assured Andrés Felipe Rodríguez, CEO of Two Way Stadiums.
In addition, it will have a five-star hotel, 100 luxury apartments, 350 boxes -which in turn will function as offices-, television studios, cinema, music, museum and business club.
“And it puts us at the level of the great capitals of the world, taking a step forward in development as a city, as a country, as a region”, affirmed the Barranquilla actress Sofía Vergara.
Former baseball player Édgar Renteria is proud that his city is entering the major leagues of sports venues.
“We chose it because Barranquilla is my city, really. Barranquilla deserves this. All of Colombia and the drive that Barranquilla has, development, I think it deserved such a beautiful setting as this one, “said Renteria.
This entertainment complex will be ready in 2023 and it is also a space designed for fashion designers to present their collections.
“Let’s dream, let’s make our dreams of Barranquilla come true for the world”said designer Silvia Tcherassi.
Arena del Río will be located on the great boardwalk, a privileged place facing the sea, the Magdalena River and a short drive from three international airports. Its cost will be 407 million dollars and it will generate 9,000 direct jobs.
