The protagonist of ‘The embrace of the serpent’ dies. At age 75, the actor Antonio Bolívar died, who gave life to the character of Karamatake.
As reported by Caracol Radio, Bolívar died of a coronavirus. However, there is no official version on the cause of his death.
What was known was that he had been hospitalized for several days at the San Rafael de Leticia Hospital.

Bolívar, for his teachings and history of his ancestors, was considered a “father” by the production team. Even the producer of the film and Guerra’s wife, Cristina Gallego, was the one who worried most about him.
In an interview with PUBLIMETRO, Bolívar said that “she tells me that she feels that I am like her father, because I am simple, noble and happy… I tell her that we are like a family then! What’s more, Doña Cristina has said that if I don’t put my face up and speak, the work we did won’t go that far ”.
In addition to acting, the man also served as a teacher and helped Jan Bijvoet and Brionne Davis, the foreigners who participated in the film, with the indigenous dialects.

Embrace of the Serpent, by director Ciro Guerra, would face other films of the highest level for the award for Best Foreign Film.
