Arias, who signed and published his message from the North Canton, in Bogotá (where he has been detained since July 2019), stated that he had not “made use of his exit permit and that, at the time of doing so, it will be the responsibility of those who have instigated these false news, threats and hate messages what happens to me or my family. “

A few weeks ago a judge for the execution of sentences in Bogotá granted the former minister a work and study permit, convicted of the Agro Ingreso Seguro (AIS) case and may leave the site where he is serving a sentence for 72 hours.

The judicial official notified Inpec of his decision, with which Arias will be able to define the time of his departure and justify the work that he will carry out outside the military unit in which he is serving a 17-year prison sentence.
