Three of the major airlines in the United States, American, Delta and United, have announced that, as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, passengers boarding their flights should wear face masks.
The companies have not set a date for the start of this measure, but they have indicated that it will be in the near future. The objective is, therefore, to comply with the social distancing measures required in most of the country’s states, Infobae publishes.
This announcement has been made public after hearing through social media several complaints from passengers themselves who denounced full planes and no protective measures on flights, as published REPORTUR.mx (Video – American flight full of passengers denounced without measures against the Covid-19).
The first US airline to ask its passengers to wear face masks when boarding the plane has been JetBlue, which will begin implementing it starting next week. “Wearing a face mask is not about protecting yourself, but protecting those around you,” said its president, Joanna Geraghty.
