A draw that hurts the red fans this Sunday brought America on their visit to Nacional at the Atanasio Girardot.

The Valle del Cauca team won it 2-1, but in the 93rd minute, already in the last play of the match, Nacional tied it through Brayan Rovira, taking out of his pocket the three points to an America that had made merits to win it.

In the first half, America looked much better at the Atanasio. The red team, attached to a script in which the quick recovery of the ball prevailed, taking up the spaces, neutralizing Nacional from the middle of the field and attacking him on the wings, fulfilled it to the ‘letter’ and that gave him the partial victory in those initial 45 minutes.

Felipe Jaramillo, Luis Paz and Rafael Carrascal ate the midfield; from there upwards, the youthful Santiago Moreno, Duván Vergara, and to a lesser extent the Peruvian Aldair Rodríguez, did their thing to bring danger to the weak nationalist rear.

At 15 minutes Vergara missed an option in an incredible way when he finished badly in front of the Quintana goal; At 20, Vergara himself could not connect well after a play by Moreno.

Nacional’s only option came at 38 with a creeping center from Jefferson Duque that Baldomero Perlaza, who had fallen as a center forward, could not take advantage of.

The goal, or rather, the goal of the game reached 41. They touched Duván Vergara near the crescent and the red midfielder took an unstoppable right that inflated the purslane fence.

In the second half America continued with the same disposition, closing the spaces to the rival and counterattacking with Duván Vergara on the left.

Nacional, however, balanced more out of desperation, and at 63 and 71 minutes he almost reached the goal in plays that demanded goalkeeper Joel Graterol to avoid the fall of his fence.

With a National overturned disorderly to the attack, America took its toll in the 73rd minute with Carlos Sierra’s goal that made it 2-0.

The reds of Cali managed the despair of the premises and were able to increase the account, but they were not lucky.

Nacional discounted at 80 with Andrés Andrade, and at 93 came the cold water washout for the Cali reds with that goal by Brayan Rovira that made it 2-2 at Atanasio.
