The defense of former president Álvaro Uribe got up early this Saturday to reject the possible threats that Judge 30 of guarantee control, Clara Ximena Salcedo, would be receiving, who on October 10 ordered his release, within the process that the ex-president is being followed for alleged bribery in criminal proceedings and procedural fraud.
So far, what has transpired is that Salcedo would be receiving threatening messages through electronic means.

“We request all emergency and urgent protection measures in favor of Judge 30, who, applying the law and jurisprudence, recognized Álvaro Uribe’s freedom, the threats of which he is being victims must be investigated and those responsible found”, said Víctor Mosquera, part of Uribe’s defense.
And the same was done by the total lawyer of Uribe’s defense. However, they pointed out that they only know those who have transpired in the media and that there is still no official information.

I emphatically reject any type of threat or intimidation to Judge 30 of guarantees of Bogotá and to all the judicial authorities that day by day carry out the courageous task of administering justice. I ask the competent officials to protect them.

‘Priority’
The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to EL TIEMPO that on Saturday morning they sent a group of officials to the judge so that she can file the complaint, so that the rigorous investigations can be carried out.
(Also: Does the evidence against Álvaro Uribe fall?)
“She was contacted this morning (Saturday) and reported that she had not yet filed the respective complaint,” said sources from the accusing body. And they said that they are working with the Bogotá regional Prosecutor’s Office and with the Office of the Prosecutor’s Computer Crime Center.

For its part, the Dijín indicated that once the complaint is received, it will proceed so that its Police Cybernetic Center (C4), which depends on the Dijín, begins to track the messages: “The case is a priority.”
