The dissidents of aliases’ Iván Márquez and ‘Jesús Santrich’ have just issued a statement on the afternoon of this holiday Monday that talks about the acceptance of the crime of Álvaro Gómez Hurtado by the Farc.
Despite skepticism from various sectors, they assure that it was ordered by the so-called FARC secretariat since 1982 and they say that no one from the establishment has come out to apologize for the dead peasants they ordered.

In the letter they published, they assure that “none of the hypotheses about the motives and authors of Álvaro Gómez Hurtado’s death were true, and none of those who had been implicated in one way or another had to do with such an event.”
They also state: “False, then, were the versions of paramilitaries like Éver Veloza (alias HH, of drug traffickers like Santa Lopesierra and Luis Hernando Gómez Bustamante (alias Rasguño), who tried to incriminate, for example, former president Ernesto Samper Pizano, probably with the premeditated determination to get dirty political dividends. ”

In the statement, they also criticize the Attorney General’s Office for declaring the murder of Gómez Hurtado a crime against humanity.
They say that “the action against Álvaro Gómez Hurtado, derived solely and exclusively from his condition as the architect of the instigation of the crimes committed by the regime against the peasants of Marquetalia, from his persistent and dark persecution, from their deaths and mourning, as from the fratricidal confrontation that was unleashed and has not yet ended. ”

Finally, they say that the decision to assassinate the conservative leader “was decided by the Directorate of the FARC-EP from the Seventh Conference held in the Department of Meta on May 4-14, 1982.”
Authorities are investigating the content of the statement published by the dissent.

A member of the ex-Farc assured that the self-incrimination of ‘Carlos Lozano’ around the assassination was precipitated by the extortionary messages that the dissidents of ‘Iván Márquez’ sent to Rodrigo Londoño’s wing, so that they would withdraw from the implementation process of peace, on pain of exposing their facet as unconfessed murderers.
Third statement
This is the third statement attributed to the so-called ‘Nueva Marquetalia’ dissidents.
The first occurred last year, when they announced that they were officially returning to arms. And two weeks ago they sent a new communication, with threats to the Government and a photo in which they appear heavily armed.

The Gómez case has been in the ordinary courts for 25 years without results. Meanwhile, the accusing body ordered a new line of investigation to be opened and called “Carlos Lozada” and Rodrigo Londoño to render a version on November 5. In addition, he recalled that although the Prosecutor’s Office cannot open an investigation to constitutional graduates, it can call them to testify.

He also summoned former senator Piedad Córdoba, who had retired to her winter barracks and then even went out to say that one of the hit men is alive; and former mayor Luis Eduardo Garzón.
At the same time, the request for evidence and testimony continued. Two of those pending are those of the brothers Miguel and Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela, former heads of the Cali cartel.
EL TIEMPO established that for some time at least one of them made it known that he was ready to talk about the assassination of Álvaro Gómez. But no one was to hear it.
The same happened with Ramón Quintero Navarro, alias RQ, extradited capo. The narco’s interest in speaking was known through former minister Andrés Felipe Arias, when both shared a jail in Miami. ‘RQ’ also offered to speak in the case against Santiago Uribe Vélez, who is being tried for the formation of ‘para’ groups and homicide.

Also on the pending list is Guillermo Pallomari, an accountant for the Cali cartel, a protected witness for the United States.
